PLEASE JOIN US IN TAKING STRIDES FOR LIFE!
The 3rd annual "Strides for Life" event, a 3 mile fun run/walk, will take place on Sunday, August 24th, 2008 around beautiful Lake Agawam in Southampton, New York.
Strides for Life, a cornerstone event of the Lung Cancer Research Foundation, is a family friendly event whose participants include professional runners, first-time runners, walkers, families, singles, children and both current and former lung cancer patients and survivors.
It is an inspiring morning of great hope and promise and we hope you will be there to join us!
We are grateful for everyone who participated in the second annual Strides for Life run/walk last summer - more than 550 participants of all ages took part in the event which raised over $470,000! 100% of the net proceeds from last year's Strides for Life event are being distributed to our 2008 grant recipients nationwide.
We are looking to boost both attendance and fundraising for 2008 and would encourage you to walk, run, form a team, become a sponsor, raise pledges or volunteer for this fabulous event and important cause.
Additionally, we are always in need of race day volunteers. If you cannot join us in the walk around Lake Agawam, but are interested in getting involved, please call the Garwood Events office at 212-678-0231 or email events@garwoodevents.com.
